camping day 1

Took a trip to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore last weekend and had a wonderful time. Although the weather was a little chilly and overcast and the Baby didn't sleep too well in new surroundings, we were able to fill our days with fun hikes and great outdoor time together.

We drove up Friday and were pleasantly surprised to find that the trip took just five hours when Google Maps had suggested almost six. Although we lost an hour, daylight lasts and lasts up in that U.P., so we reached our campsite and got the tent up just as light was fading. Of course, we couldn't have done it without R's help!

We're actually camping! Can you believe it?!
